How the rating works

The rating uses five fixed production bands. Smaller production runs receive higher ratings. Exact totals and responsibly sourced estimates for this precise version can be rated. Plans, regional totals, lower bounds, disputed figures and broader-family totals remain visible but unclassified. The evidence description is kept separate from the rating so a source limitation cannot change how scarcity is measured.

What creates the sound

The new 6.5-litre V12 remains the dominant acoustic source while three motors alter torque delivery and operating state.

An eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox sits transversely behind the engine, reversing the Aventador’s gearbox relationship and shortening shifts.

Battery charge, hybrid mode, front-motor activity, exhaust valves and software version are mandatory capture metadata.

History and character

Origins and context

Lamborghini presented Revuelto in March 2023 during its sixtieth-anniversary year. The company calls it the first V12 plug-in hybrid HPEV—High Performance Electrified Vehicle—and the successor to Aventador. It preserves the mid-engined flagship silhouette, scissor doors and naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder centre while changing how the car makes, stores and distributes torque. Lamborghini’s current model history describes it as heir to a V12 lineage beginning with 350 GT; its Miura retrospective more specifically connects the mid-engine supercar sequence through Countach, Diablo, Murciélago and Aventador.

The L545 V12 displaces 6,498.5 cc and produces 825 CV at 9,250 rpm with 725 Nm at 6,750 rpm. Three motors join it: two axial-flux units on the front axle and a rear motor-generator associated with the gearbox. Lamborghini quotes 1,015 CV, or 747 kW, combined, more than 350 km/h and 2.5 seconds to 100 km/h. The system figure is a controlled hybrid maximum, not the result of assuming every component reaches its individual peak at the same shaft speed and battery condition.

An eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox sits transversely behind the V12, leaving the central tunnel for the lithium-ion battery. That reverses the traditional Lamborghini flagship arrangement in which the gearbox occupied space ahead of the engine. Electric front motors provide all-wheel drive without a mechanical propshaft, can recuperate energy and enable electric operation. The architecture therefore changes both weight distribution and the audible driveline: front e-machines and high-voltage switching replace the viscous or clutch-driven front axle of Murciélago and Aventador.

Engineering and character

The multi-technology carbon monocoque extends composite structure into the front section, and active aerodynamics coordinate with double-wishbone suspension and vehicle-dynamics control. Lamborghini’s model-year 2026 brochure states 1,780 kg dry, explicitly tying that number to a market and production phase. It also gives a 13 km European equivalent all-electric range. Neither value should be generalised without its condition: dry weight omits operating fluids and equipment assumptions, while electric range depends on homologation protocol, battery state and ambient conditions.

Acoustically, Revuelto remains V12-led but no longer V12-only. The combustion engine reaches peak power at 9,250 rpm, the front axle contributes electric machine frequencies and the dual-clutch gearbox compresses shift interruptions compared with Aventador ISR. Hybrid state can change whether the engine is running, charging or being supported. A premium recording logs battery charge, drive and energy mode, engine and battery temperature, front-motor activity, gear, exhaust valves and software version. Tailpipe sound alone cannot document the complete propulsion identity.

Revuelto follows Aventador but is not an electric overlay on the same platform. The engine, transmission position, monocoque, front drive and control system are new. At the same time, its naturally aspirated V12 preserves a continuous acoustic and cultural reference that reaches back through the original Miura. That mixture makes it a useful endpoint for the heritage tree: it shows which cues Lamborghini treats as permanent and which mechanical solutions the company was willing to replace when hybrid performance became the contemporary flagship brief.

Legacy and identity

The focus here is the standard Revuelto LB744 as introduced in 2023 and represented by the cited model-year 2026 factory brochure. It excludes future Super Veloce, limited-series, racing or owner-modified forms and does not assume a fixed production total that Lamborghini has not stated. The 6,498.5 cc L545 V12, three motors, plug-in battery, electric front axle, 1,015 CV system rating and eight-speed transverse dual clutch define the record. Software and model year remain first-class fields because the car’s delivered behaviour is inseparable from control state.

01

V12 lineage

Lamborghini identifies Miura, Countach, Diablo, Murciélago, Aventador and Revuelto as successive carriers of its mid-engine supercar legacy.

02

Launch model

The focus here is the production Revuelto; later S, SV, VT, roadster and racing derivatives require separate evidence.
